Quality Controller

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Controller specializing in painting and fireproofing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industrial painting and fireproofing processes, as well as a strong understanding of quality control procedures. A valid BGAS or NACE Level certification is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough inspections of painting and fireproofing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor surface preparation, application methods, and drying times to ensure proper execution of painting and fireproofing processes.
• Perform adhesion testing, thickness measurements, and visual inspections to verify the quality of applied coatings and fireproofing materials.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including reports on non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality control documentation.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly quality reports to the project management team.
• Ensure all inspection and test plans (ITPs) are followed and documented appropriately.
• Compliance and Certification:
• Ensure all painting and fireproofing activities comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and client requirements.
• Verify that all materials used meet the specified quality and certification standards (e.g., BGAS, NACE).
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and training to painting and fireproofing teams to ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
• Adhere to all HSE guidelines and ensure that safety protocols are followed during all painting and fireproofing activities.
• Report any unsafe practices or conditions to the HSE department immediately.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification: Valid BGAS or NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 certification in Painting/Coating Inspection is mandatory.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically in painting and fireproofing within the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of successful quality control in large-scale projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of coating systems, fireproofing materials, and application techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Work Environment:

• The position may require working in various environments, including on-site, in a field, or in an industrial setting.

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
